Gourd Creations by Mary Fahey
Mary is an award-winning gourd artist. She graduated from U.C. Davis in 1987 with a degree in fine art. After college, Mary began a career in the graphic design industry, while painting with acrylics and watercolors in her spare time. She discovered gourds in 1998, and they have been her preferred canvas ever since. "My background in art and graphic design allows me to optimize my artistic skills and eye for design in my artwork. I grow most of my own gourds and I like to work with all shapes and sizes of gourds, using a variety of techniques." All of Mary's designs are hand-drawn before being pyroengraved and colored, and each design is unique.
