Wise Acre Farm began in 1997 as a small market farm, producing fresh produce and flowers for customers in the local area. In 1998, owner Mary Fahey began growing gourds in a small section of the farm. From there, Mary's interest in gourds grew and she is now a full time gourd artist and and a farmer of gourds and fresh market produce. Mary also serves on the board of the Arbuckle Revitalization Committee and manages the Arbuckle Certified Farmers Market.

While g ourds are Mary's main focus, she continues to grow produce to sell at her Farm Stand, through local CSA deliveries and at the Thursday evening Arbuckle Certified Farmers Market.

Mary is a self-taught gourd artist and a proud member of the American Gourd Society and the California Gourd Society. Mary's upcoming gourd events include the annual Crocker Art Museum's Holiday Art and Craft Show.
